So we all grew up with Star Trek. Whether we watch it or not is a different story. I’m sure some of us either had that geeky brother (or sister) who LOVED Star Trek and couldn’t get enough of it. I went to a few conventions with my brother a while back and they are actually fun, and the fan base of Star Trek is quiet large and active.

So with that said, on to the review. I am not a “fan” of Star Trek, but from what the first few minutes showed me; I can tell I am going to like it. Although it is very unfortunate the movie had to start off this way, but it was for a point none – the – less.

Yay a sports car in Star Trek! I am liking it already… Who said you always need high tech things!

The story begins with Spock and where he arises. While you learn something about his life that opens your eyes to who he is through out the story. Spock is also played by Zachary Quinto which you know might know from his roles as Sylar in the T.V. hit Heroes

All cadets get called into action which is the start of the crew that every viewer remembers from the old Star Trek series.

Although Kirk, played by Chris Pine, was almost left behind due to some cadet “fun.”

Then comes the Asian dude from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. Apparently he’s license to drive that big rig and use ninja swords that retract! Very cool. He’s always good to see in a movie…

Ahh, that cracks me up.

Overall the movie starts out good and stays good through out. While jumping into some funny bits where Kirks hand swell up like a balloon spark the mood of enjoyment even more.

Although I never did understand how space torpedoes make certain areas of ships only explode with out causing problems like being the huge gapping hole to the outside?

CpU thinks you should get this next time you out looking for a movie!
