Being a Michiana Resident and working in Elkhart, it is hard for me to see this happening again. Lets keep fighting Elkhart – we will get through these tough times. So we all had a good time at Fireside Restaurant and Bar. Good music, food, and drinks made the night good – while the great friends and small town traditions made it even better.

This bar is located in a small town of Michigan called Edwardsburg. Being the only bar left standing in Edwardsburg (Since one of the most popular bar Legends bar and Grill recently burnt down with suspicion of arson. With good deals on food and drinks – you can’t go wrong checking it out. DJ’s, bands, and other entertainment scheduled on a regular basis. Call them for details on specific events (Number coming soon.)

UPDATE

Police had started to investigate the issue by questioning a man who’s car was reported on a recording during the time of the incident at Legends. This person was not a Michigan resident as he resides in South Bend. When approached by the police, he had immediate requested a lawyer, and no word on that update has come up since. No one or persons have been charged with the fire and the public has been left in the dark. I’ll keep digging.

The Human CpU speculates that Troy Treat is In Business to Burn Business.

Seems WSBT has a bit of a mix up in there news stories, then correcting it.

Well, they are in fact sort of right. So that is where we will start…

FIRE AT KOOL DRAFT (UP TOWN TAVERN) – No one charged or investigated.

No one has been charged for the suspicious fire but an award for information was posted on Edwardsburg Town Notice section of their website. (Link is title above) Which was conveniently purchased by Troy’s company after it had burned down five months later. Why is this convient? Troy Treat already owned the lot right next store! I wonder if he needed some more room anyway? Now the lots are currently vacant of any structure, and still pending investigation on the fire. Wasn’t that about the time troy started building his apartment complex? Sorry got side tracked…

PHARMACY BUILDING (NOTED SUSPICIOUS) - No one charged or investigated.

GARAGE WITH RESTAURANT EQUIPMENT (NOTED SUSPICIOUS) – No one charged or investigated.

Now lets talk about what building of his has gone up in flames now.

LEGENDS SPORTS BAR AND GRILL(NOTED SUSPICIOUS – STATE INVESTIGATION)- No one charged as of yet – Still Investigating.

Well convenient that there was straw everywhere that could be great “fuel” for a flame. Well the State Police has stated that there are several points of interest to investigate as a source. While the building is large in size, it will take time for the investigation to sort through all the debris, in hopes to find more substantial clues as to what happened.

As now it has taken 3 buildings to burn in a small town area to start asking questions. Will the State Polices take over the Tavern investigation, and look into building permit applications and so forth to find clues as to any need of expansion to conclude motive.

Only time will tell. I wonder if GFS knows not to make there weekly delivery, well that is if there was even an order…

But it is all speculation, and he could be declared innocent and go on his way with a nice big insurance check.

And then we just have to wait to see what his next business will be… Maybe he will put it on the Up Town Tavern Lot.

UPDATE:
State police have announced that the fires at Legends Bar and Grill were caused by arson. Police are currently investigating the crime.

If you’ve worked for Troy Treat, you might get a phone call…

Inside reports from employees say that the police are asking questions to all past employees from up to a year ago about any suspicious activity in the walls of Legends.

Legend’s Fire Clues

• Excessive “Flammable” Materials Present
• Owner – “Out of Town” the night of the fire.
• Owner posted Closed Signs the night of the fire.
• Owner has not disclosed who the “new owners” were going to be.
• T & R has had several buildings burn, all with no arrests as to the “suspicious” fires.
• Several of Troy’s business have shut there doors. (Money Issues?)

As the case is built up, I’ll keep you informed.
